Leadership and management of preparation for release or removal

The following indicators describe evidence that may show this expectation being met. They do not exclude other ways of achieving it.

• Managers at all levels ensure there are sufficient resources to achieve desired outcomes.
• Managers ensure that all staff have the knowledge and training to assist detainees effectively, and provide effective support both for detainees who are removed and those who are released into the UK.
• Monitoring and review arrangements are used to help improve services.
• Managers work effectively with partners, including the voluntary and community sector, for the benefit of detainees.
