The content that is not accessible is outlined below:
- Many of our older PDFs and Word documents do not meet accessibility standards – for example, they may not be structured so they’re accessible to a screen reader.
Disproportionate burden
We will not update all PDFs published between Sept 2018 and April 2020 to make them fully accessible, as we deem this to be a disproportionate burden.
Content that’s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations
The accessibility regulations do not require us to fix PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018 if they’re not essential to providing our services.
How we tested this website
This website has been tested for compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines V2.1 level A and level AA, and these tests have been carried out externally.
We used the Website Accessibility Conformance Evaluation Methodology (WCAG-EM) approach to deciding on a sample of pages to test.
What we’re doing to improve accessibility
We’re improving accessibility by carrying out checks on all our new documents. All new documents are created using accessible templates.
