COVID-19 update

A statement from Kevin McGinty, HM Chief Inspector of Crown Prosecution Service:

Following the latest government guidance on social distancing and recognising the pressures on those we inspect, HM Crown Prosecution Service Inspectorate will be suspending all face to face inspection activity until further notice.

Much of the inspection work we do involves my inspectors reviewing files and this work will continue. We will continue to pay close attention to the government’s advice on COVID-19 before making any decision to restart face to face inspection activity.
